Main differences between B6 and the B5?
Those numbers are pretty accurate for 3.0s... After all it's not a toyota camry. For the cars curb weight and awd system, I can live with 20-24mpg. Yes it hurts my pocket but right now it's snowing outside here in ny. If i wanna go hit the streets i can do so with a little more confidence knowing that i have smooth v6 power and not a spiked torque curve from a modded i4.
auditech has said it all but if it means anything to you :
b6 has the looks (in my humble opinion)
less prone to sludge on b6 (didnt they redo the oil pickup line)
better tranny (6 speed FTW
)
more tuning options and goodies available
or get a b5s4 if u get the $$$ to tune it
ive too seen several strange engine failures on the b6 3.0.. if you search audizine, b6 forums "death of a 3.0"

Whats this Revo...is this great for you can use lemmeks (sp?) to play around with the fuel trim? I was thinking of getting 2 program APR 91 program and stock (for winter and no turbo spike)..plus I am sure with a stick you can control it far better.
Thank you everyone for really taking the time to break it down and give me your POV. Others would be...SEARCH!!!!! Which I know a lot about the 1.8T..but on a passat. The work isn't different just the frame which I can wait for a while on.
Ah did i read no major issues with the 1.8t? Im gona tell you my 1.8t B6 is a constant problem. Regular electrical problems, check engine light comes on monthly. It's the most problematic luxury car ive ever owned. In my experience.

Buy that and save yourself thousands of dollars in hourly wages the dealer is charging you.
An saying the 1.8T has electrical problems is idiotic, an engine is an engine, an electrical system is an electrical system. I would say you bought a lemon from someone, or someone didn't take good care of the vehicle before you purchased it.
