Maintenance
hey man changing the oil is extremely easy when you get under the car (on our 3.0) all you have to do is remove the splash guard and on the drivers side the oil filter and the oil pan bolt is right there just pop the bolt out and keep an eye on how full your drip pan gets lol, let it drain for a few minutes then take off the filter (i needed a filter wrench) lube the seal on the new filter put that on nice n hand tight dont overdue it, then put your pil pan plug back in and tighten down but not too much because i do believe these are aluminum? CORRECT ME IF IM WRONG... then grab your funnel with 6-7 quarts of mobil 1 0w 40 dump 6 cans in, start the car for a few seconds to get the oil into the filter and such check the dipstick and probably have to add 3/4 of the 7th quart into the crank case as i had too!! good luck and itll save yah some extra cash
I used to use Royal Purple every change.. with a big filter. Unti I ran into the sludge[:@]
Now I just take it to the Audi Dealer every oil change, and take it up the butt.. I believe they use Castoral Synthetic Oil.

Yep I used G12 but I used NJ Faucet water [:@] .... should I re-do it?
I also just got back from getting my oil changed (I also had them add Engine Restore).... they charged $35 but I got a free car wash (wax and paint protector included) I think thats a pretty good deal
Next step is taking it to Quattrohaus and having the cabin and air filter replaced... I don't know if I really NEED the cabin filter replaced... what do you guys think?
oh yea and should I replace my fuel filter also?

I brought my car to Quattrohaus few times and they are seems to know Audi very well. Both owners, Jose and Luis are pretty cool too. Anyway, personally I would get the cabin filter replaced because I do get bad allergies especially in Fall and Spring time.
Here is the link to replace cabin filter on a B5. I am not sure if B6 is the same but it seems fairly easy to replace.

if the 1.8 and 3.0 are in similar spots its really easy, jst make sure you mark the hoses, on the 1.8 there are 2 on the front side and two on the back...i got the two of them switched around and it was a PITA *** to figure it out. But aside from that it was really easy.
