Default RE: Oil

So I was driving to work this morning with tiptronic and I stopped at a red light. It was fine for about 10 seconds and then the car starting vibrating violently. It felt like the pistons was pushing really hard. Then the check engine light started FLASHING. I pulled over and turned off the car and turned it back on... everything was fine.. I drove off in tiptronic and didn't have a problem for the rest of the way to work (4 miles). When I pulled into the parking lot I let the car rest for 2 mins before shutting off the engine. after I shut off the engine I popped the hood and saw that the coolant was smoking... I twisted off the cap and it sounded like I was opening a carbonated drink... I recently filled up the coolant (without flushing it) to the "Max" line because it was UNDER the "Min" line... But when I popped the hood today the coolant was well over the "Max" line...

What should I do?

Should I flush the coolant and refill it all over again? If so,how do I flush the coolant?

When you guys do oil changes at home what do you do with the old oil??? Do local gas stations take the old oil?

If u got PepBoys or AutoZone close by they should take that for free. Or maybe some kind of oil change station.

bumping this instead of making a new thread.

How much is it going to cost me just to have all the filters changed at the dealership. I usually take mine to the VW one because they charge about half what the local Audi dealership does per hour.

Did you figure out that you have a coilpack problem?

It's safe to top off the coolant, and safe to use tap water. That's what shops do.
