im looking into chipping my car soon and i have been reading a lot about the big 3 and everything.

im not asking for some one to tell me that if you choose ______ your car will be everything you dreamt about.

I was contemplating a new turbo and i got to thinking, why spend the money on the turbo, exh, chip tuning, and dv when when an s4 is close to the price of a modded a4?

im new and i am betting i will get beat up for this question, but just wondering...

and not sure if this post belongs here or not, sry if its in the wrong, but i think it would be worth exploring the numbers people have acheived from thier turbos.

depends what years your talking about... and with the s4 and gas prices, you will feel a difference weekly!!... i was thinking about doing the same thing once upon a time

 

Are you talking about b6 s4 (v8)??? And first you say u wanna chip your car and then about getting a new turbo... There are a lot of modded a4 way much faster than s4 and some rs4... Anyways, if u can afford an s4 (gas prices included) think about it, it is a nice car... And not just about the powe, it is not that fast though...

 

well i was looking at chips and what not, and thought that maybe a turbo would be more satisfying right off the bat for a major engine mod. but then i wondered would the s4 just solve all my needs. but im 21 and i think i would be raped with insurence. didnt think about the gas prices part too. Too bad there isnt much we can do to lower prices. i remember the good ol' days when it was $1.89 by my house... I think a small part of me died just now hahaha...

 

and also with the S4, there really is very few things that you can actually do to the car to tune it, which takes away all of the fun or having and A4 and tuning it with a chip, BT, exhaust and making it your way so it has your own unique touch and feel to it
