Looking to get either 2004 A4 3.0 Quattro with Audi Navigation with about 95k miles for $8500. Is that a good buy? what should i look for? and another possiblity is a 2005.5 A4 3.2 Quattro with 110k miles asking $10k. Which is a better buy?
Would love to hear pros and cons....thanks a bunch guys/gals.

 

On the surface, they both sound like a good deal. But there are many variables, and you need to do some homework:

1) Does either one have complete maintenance records?

2) Do they have clean CarFax reports?

3) What options does each one have?

4) What's the Kelly Blue Book value of each one?

5) Have they both had a timing belt change yet? If not, then the sellers need to deduct that repair bill from the price of the vehicle, and you would want to schedule that to be done TODAY!

The most important thing: Don't buy either one on impulse. Carefully consider each car after doing the appropriate homework.
