I didn't know exactly where to post this. Its a B6 so I am posting here, though it probably isn't a B6 specific issue. Sorry if it's not in right spot.

Anyway. This morning was cold, so I started my car to warm it up before taking my kid to daycare. When I went out and was backing up, I noticed that the dash lights and everything weren't working. Completely black. So I thought I would turn the car off and restart it to see if they would come back on. When I turned the key back on the lights came back on, but the car wouldn't start. I have never experienced anything like this. The battery is only about 9 months old, and I don't think that's the issue. I was thinking something electrical. I was reading trying to find an answer and saw something about the chip in the key/immobilzer being a common problem, but didn't see anyone that had my specific problem. Any help would be appreciated. I really need my car and am tight on cash right now. Hoping it's an easy fix. Thank you in advance.

 

it's not important that your car battery is 9 months old, it might be a manufacture issue, check ur battery again it's the cheapest option hope it's nohing more serious
