Default Need help with nasty vibration

I'm new to Audi's. I've always had bimmers but decided to give audi a shot. I bought an 02 1.8T quattro yesterday. it started off with a small vibration when taking off in first gear. It felt like it might have been a CV joint or something. I drove it home from Knoxville to Birmingham with no problem. Today i was driving around town and it feels like the whole tranny is about to fall out. I dont know much about the quattro system. It will vibrate coming out of first then is fine. If you feather the gas it wont really vibrate but if you get on it you better hold on. I dont really know how else to describe it. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated it.

I figured out what it was...It's the hanger bearing on the rear drive shaft. Dealer is saying you have to buy the whole drive shaft assembly. Is this true?

1200!?? I think there's a DIY for the whole thing, you need the new axle of course, and then some tools and ingenuity. Check A4mods.com or AudiDIY for a step by step instructions and then just do it.
