Need help with P0722 code
I have a 2004 A4 1.8T with the 6 speed tiptronic transmission. I'm getting the p0722 code. No obvious issues with the transmission or speedometer. The only issue that might be related is when accelerating from the stop, the car will significantly jerk if I don't let it start moving on it's own and ease the throttle slowly.
I've searched and I've seen everything from replacing the TCM to replacing a single sensor or various combinations of the two depending on other factors. Can somebody shed some light on this?

Anyone have any ideas at all?
I found this but I'm not sure what it's for. Could not find this part in any Audi parts catalogs..

Google that code more to get a better feel of what the issue is. Don't just go to one site and decide that you know what it is.
That said, I got the same code and replaced the speed sensor shown above. It took care of my problem but codes can be tricky to diagnose as one specific code can come up as a result of various failures, be it sensors or other components.
The sensor itself was not too hard to replace, just google that too and you should come up with a good write up

Searching this brought up references to the engine speed sensor. Upon further searching, I learned the speed sensor part above is the Vehicle Speed Sensor G22. I can't find information on where it's located though on a 2004 cvt.

I have a Quattro and I replaced it on the left side of the engine. Since your engine is transversely mounted it will be at the back near the bottom. Or at the front. You'll have to use your brain to figure the rest out.
That's all I got.
That's all I got.
