Default Need Reassurance on Mismatched Tire

So a couple chain of events occurred and needless to say I am currently running 17inch wheels with a 15inch spare on my Front Drivers side. I have ordered the 17inch wheel but won't be in til at least tues. Can I drive with this mismatched tire for about 100 miles with no problems??

as long as the diameter of the tire is the same as the others you should be fine.

Does your car have quattro?

I've heard that you shouldn't run wheels of different sizes with quattro, but I could be wrong. Anybody else hear this?

what matters is the circumference of the tire. All of the wheels need to be spinning at the same speed.

Oh and it's not just quattro cars, the ESP system on frontrak cars monitors wheel speed too.

You're getting good advice/opinions here. I assure you its not a good idea. Heres a rolling speed calculator that will help you see what kind of variance you'll be running: www.onlineconversion.com/bigger_tires.htm

Heres another thread this was discussed in, at length:
