I have a 2003 A4 3.0 and use Mobil1 0W-30 plus a few quarts of 0W-40. Main reason is I can buy 5 quarts of the former at Walmart for $23. Since there are no turbos, I think you are safe with 0W-30, 0W-40, 5W-30 or 40. I would not go to 10W unless you live in the deep south or desert. Since it's an MT6, I cannot help with your other questions. PS - I have also used Mobil1 0W-40 on my A6 for the past 181k miles.
Easiest way to hook up the subs without having to mess with the headunit is getting the low output conveter. You can just tap into your wires in the rear deck. Their should be a sub back there or even two if u have the bose setup. Just unplug one of those or whatever and plug in the low out put conveter. And for power to the amp i just tapped into the fuse box. I cant remeber what fuse it was but if u need i can check it for you later.
