New buyer A4 3.0 Quattro, help?
Hi everyone, first time poster here. I am in the market for a 03' or 04' a4 3.0 quattro. I was on audiworld.com and read alot of forum posts about reliability issues but I am also assuming people have problems because they do alot diy stuff to their cars? Anyway, I am now worrying probably more than I should be about the a4's reliability. As audi owners, honestly, how is the a4's reliability? Am I gonna have to spend an arm and a leg on maintenance? I plan to finance the vehicle for 5 years, about 40,000 miles on it... thanks for the help guys.
Yes, audis are not that reliable. If you are looking for reliability you will be happier with ahonda accord 4 doors.
If you enjoy driving a nice german car and can put up with little issues here and there go for the A4, but make sure it's under warranty or it is certified by audi up to 100k.
Remember that A4 3.0 need to have a timing belt replacement at the 80k mark.... so keep in mind that's about $2500+.

the car is only as reliable as its owner
if u take care of it the car will take care of u
there will always be a few lemons out there
on the forums people will always post about problem and never post about my car is running fine for the past so many years
the 3.0 is a solid engine but u never know
