Well it looks like any wheel repair place can fix that for you, so I hope it goes smooth for you, sorry again for your troubles...

You should be able to claim for the damage to the wheel if you can be bothered.

Yea, I had to file a claim with the county because apparently it was out of city limits. The woman I spoke with said I wasn't the first person to report that pothole.

Yep in Australia, ppl would defiantly be clamming for damages & get them to pay,

In NYC I've heard the city pays out pretty fast for pothole related damage claims

I hit a pot hole in Detroit a few years ago and my alternator failed immediately (voltage dropped to 12). Just from the shock of the impact.

I can see that happening....I think the pothole is the reason my coilpack blew. It blew about an hour after I hit the pothole.

So I hate to hijack, but what is this coilpack prob, and should I be keeping one in the car at all times? I've had my Audi for about a month, and it's already left me stranded in mid-nowhere Wyoming.

Coilpacks are a common problem with a4's. They tend to go bad every so often. It would definitely be a good idea to keep a few spares in your trunk. After the other night in my car, I will be keeping a couple in my trunk from now on.
