You'll need 2 cans of seafoam, 1 for gas, 1/2 for oil, and 1/2 in the intake through a vac line. I use royal purple 5w40, research it for yourself bc it's more expensive. I use k and n oil filters, kinda the same thing as the royal purple. I don't think spark plugs matter as long as they are nice such as ngk or Bosch. What is cap and rotor? I have a k and n air filter and like it.

MOST IMPORTANTLY HAVE THE TIMING BELT INSPECTED!

I think the first thing you're gonna get is the hole in the wallet... I'm going to try the Bosch plugs when I get back to the states for my 3.0. I read the NGK are really good for the 1.8T.

No 'cap and rotor' on this engine.. all electronic

Synthetic 5w-40 or 0w- 40 works. I like Mobil 1 myself and its on the Audi 'approved' list.

Oil filter is Mann (OEM), Purolater Pure One, Mobil 1, or K&N (same as Mobile 1 but with a nut on the end and costs more). NO FRAM please..

Geez...I feel so ignorant (no cap n rotor). Well, you learn something every day.

Now I get to scratch that off my list and replace it with a service manual.

Gonna spend some quality with my A4 time this weekend...can't wait

I wouldn't hold back on prices for these cars, the stuff you find chea is cheap in quality and will not last or you'll be dissapointed. Better get the high end stuff and you'll be much happier... BROKE, but much happier...
