does anybody know what is the normal idle when at like a stop? i know honda's are like 750

 

Mine is 800 rpm. 2004 A4 1.8T

 

mines is at 900 i wonder if thats okay

 

it should be fine dont forget that this car does the cold start cycle even when its not cold out. you should worry if it starts to jump above and below 800 or if its constantly over 1200

 

i was also wondering when my car is park for awhile like cold start...it would idle rough...once its warm though its fine...i wonder if that has anything to do with the ECT engine coolant temp sensor?...it also threw codes misfires....but once the car is warm its perfect even starts up fine....

 

have you done the coil recall?

 

yeah i done the coil recall......but if the coil was mess up i think it would act way all the time not just when cold
