oem brake swap from a 3.0 to the 1.8l
hey everyone,
i was looking through ecstuning.com, and i saw a capiler bracket they had for using a4 3.0l brakes {312}.
i havent bought my a4 yet,but im looking into everything now.
so, are the 3.0l brakes larger then the 1.8.
makes since, larger engine. is there a real benifit to this swap?
thanks

Yes they're slightly better due to the increased size in rotor. If you get a 3.0 brake upgrade and throw in some Motul brake fluid, SS brake lines and good brake pads you'll have a pretty good bite at a budget costs. But of course this is a mild upgrade. It will suit your needs for a daily driven car or occasional autocross. For real performance look into Stoptech, Brembo or Alcon. A lot more $$$ though.
