Sounds like an internal valve cover gasket leak. It's a fairly easy fix. Parts should only cost you about 30 bucks and depending on how mechanically inclined you are you can do ityourself. It could possibly effect starting if the oil was getting on the plugs.

Normal for 4 years+ cars to have Valve Gasket leak.

replaced valve gasket on my AVK-3.0 engine 6 monthes ago.

They found the oil leak when doing the spark-plug replacement.

total less than$300

hm mine is starting weird...sometimes it will start on the first time other times it takes twice to start it and i did replace the plugs and noticed oil in the chambers as well but kinda shrugged it off...thought maybe that upon filling the engine w/ oil some spilled in there or somethin. Ive replaced everything that i can think of on this car and it still is starting bad. Haven't looked at this issue yet. Could that be the problem??
