Default Possible transmissions issue...please help!!!

Ok, everyone...I just bought a 2003 A4 1.8t quattro about a month ago with 110,000 miles. I drove quite a way to check it out. I got there and the car looked great! When I test drove it, I noticed a slight jerk in the tranny when it down shifted from 5th gear to 4th gear. The seller said that they took it to their mechanic and he diagnosed it as being a bad transmission mount. It made sense to me so I bought it. After owning it for the last few weeks, I am starting to think there is more to it than just the mount and suspect further transmission issues.

I really like this car. It's fun to drive and I love the looks. I am hoping that this can be salvaged somehow. I am by no means mechanically inclined, so any suggestions or other help would be GREATLY appreciated. I have heard about people putting Lucas Oil in the tranny with some great results. Any thoughts???

No, I haven't changed either. I just picked the car up from the garage yesterday to have a new coil pack and spark plug put in and asked the mechanic to check the trans mounts for me. He put it on the lift and put a load on the trans and he said he didn't see any issue with the trans mounts or the motor mounts. Not sure about the snub mount, but that is a great suggestion. What is the best way to determine if the snub mount needs replaced?
