Default Power Window and Drivers Doorlock problem. Help!

Alright, I have a 2002 A4 that is having a problem with what apears to be a driverside door problem. I'm sure someone has had the same problem.

The main problem is the windows, they are electrically dead. I checked the power behind the master window switch and could not find a 12V source. same with the Mirror controlls. The Driverside Power door lock swith has 12V and the switch is good, but none of the doorlocks respond to the driver's switch. The other three doors respond when the passenger and rear unlock switch are pushed. Also, the drivers door must be manually locked. With the drivers door open the dash display does not show that the door is open, but the light on the door itself responds properly when the door is opened and closed and the interior dome light does not turn off on by itself.

I have visually checked all the circuit boards and wiring in the door with no luck of finding anything obvious. I have also inspected the Central Locking Unit under the Driver Seat as well. Does anyone have any imput on how to troubleshoot or what may be the cause?

In Summary:
Power Windows are inop
Drivers Doorlock actuator is inop, must be manual
The Side Mirror Motors are inop
Dome Light is unopen
The Dash computer does not recognize the drivers door open
The Battery has been replaced reciently and has not corrected the problem

Did you check the wiring between the driver's door and the A-pillar? This wiring is in a protective boot so you can't see the wires unless you disconnect the wire connectors and pull the boot back. I was having similar problems and it turned out to be a couple broken wires in this bundle.

I agree. I have had this problem. Sounds just like what I had. The wires were broke but it was hard to see and fix.

Yes, I was able to fix mine. removed the door panel and found a wire that passes to the door through the rubber tube broken. It looked fine on the outside but when I flexed it I could tell the wire was broke. And everything in the door worked. I soldiered the wire back together. I ended up having 2 door needing this repair. It was difficult to pull enough slack to get this work done but i was able to.
