Default Problem with trim on roof

I have a 2003 A4 and this piece of trim has popped loose and I am not sure how to get it fixed. Its the piece on the roof, the guy at the dealer called it a rain gutter. I put a couple pictures of it here. I took it to a local body shop and they just said to take it to an Audi dealer. I called the Audi dealer and they are saying that I will have to buy the whole piece, which comes in primer, and have it painted and installed. I was just wondering if anyone else had had this problem or had any knowledge on how to fix it. I tried searching the forums but was unable to find any results. Thanks for any help.

so u took it to a body guy and they told u to take it to audi. do they have alot of buisness or what. my body guy would have just snapped it back with a dab of expoxy to help it hold.

I took it to the dealer and they showed me the exploded view of the roof and rain gutter. There is a rivet that goes inside of the piece that holds it in. Apparently mine dissapeared. So next step, like you all said, put some epoxy in it and try that. I will try to do that in the next couple of days and update when Im done.
