Default Race Valve N75

Just picked up an '04 Ultrasport the other day and already made an appointment w/ AWE Tuning to take advantage of their "Winter Promotion": GIAC 93oct flash. To prepare for the flash I ordered a 710N DV and ECS Race N75 valve. I also have VAG-Com to monitor boost pressures.

I've read alot of reviews on the valve, seems like DBC cars go limp due to overboost and 50/50 DBW cars have zero issues. My question is, anyone running the ECS race valve or equivalent (N75 J or H) w/ GIAC (on a DBW) and have overboosting / limp mode issues?

Anyone running the valve w/ GIAC (on a DBW) and love it?

Reading a little further into this, found this reference which makes alot of sense.

Your car was optimized to run on the stock C valve (boost maps, fuel maps, injector on time), and like what 400HPA4 said...if GIAC wanted to run that extra boost/spike like you get in the J valve, it could have been an easy tweak on the original programming. The file is as agressive as it is already.

Also keep in mind that if your actual boost exceed your requested boost (Block 115), you will most likely go into limp mode with the throttle plate closing. Another thing to watch out for is with the added boost on your already "agressive" timing, you will most likely ping... and as a result will pull more timing (kill more power). You're better off running lower boost (keeps EGT's happy) with higher timing, than to run higher boost (extra heat) with retarded timing.
