Default Random misfiring? No CEL

So yesterday I was driving around and every so often when I stopped at traffic lights the idle would drop sharply from 800 rpm and then quickly jump back up. This is the only time its happened, but it happened 3 or 4 times yesterday. It was 75 degrees here yesterday, where it been in the 30's for the past few weeks, but I doubt that has anything to do with it. Any thoughts? Car has APR chip and no other mods.

My car did that as well, It was randomly misfiring on all 4 cylinders. I didn't know what was wrong until it started Misfiring on the 1st one, and then I got The CEL.I had to change all 4 ignition coils. Yours could be something different....maybe Vaccuum hose, or something electrical. It took about a month before I got the CEL and got it figured out and Fixed....UGH
Good Luck!!

Ya... Mine drops from 900 to 800 and then back up very quickly.. and Im currently have issues with popping and like 'misfiring' I guess from 2800-3200 rpms.

I was told its because my spark plugs are gapped wrong, and if I dont gap them correctly soon I will blow a coil pack.

Hmmmm... And this only happened to me since I chipped it with REVO just over 2 weeks ago. Ill let you know what the spark plugs do.. they should arrive on Friday.

You all need to check your plugs and gap them correctly, especially if you have a chip. If you have problems after gapping check your coils packs. If you have the old stlye Brembi coils get some R or revised ones. You could also go with the Hitachi coils (ecstuning.com), many people have good things to say about them (although I'm having a few problems with mine..) Finally if you still notice problems and have had misfires get your codes cleared..I had the same problem with my car after some unrelated mis-fires,after having the codes cleared the car idles like a dream.

you might need an aftermarket MAF sensor. My car misfires alot but its not because of bad coilpacks. Just got new ones replaced last week and it still misfires. Nonetheless, the car drives pretty good.
