Default misfiring

I just took a drive with a friend a little while ago, around 5k rpm the car starts misfiring badly and feels like a chipped k03. In 1st and 2nd gear it seems fine, then in the 3rd gear, it feels like I'm not getting much boost and seems like a big power loss. Unfortunately, I dont have a boost gauge installed yet. I recently got a ko4 (k04-015 software) installed, also have a high flow cat, borla exhaust, ported/polished manifold, 710N DV, 5 bar fpr. I drove the car hard just after getting the k04 installed, and there was no misfiring then. I have been driving conservatively the last few days because I want to see the difference in mpg from when I drive hard. After filling up earlier today, I drove hard and the misfiring. Anyone in the Boston area that has a VAG that I could borrow to see if there are any codes? I guess without a VAG its hard to tell what could be wrong?

How many miles?

When was your fuel filter changed?

Have you got access to a Vagcom so you can do some logging?

For Vag com location, check in the useful lists at the top of this forum. It contains the link to a vagcom locator toward the bottom.

I'm going to autozone to get the car scanned and see what code(s) I get.

No codes from the scanning at autozone. I'm guessing the vag could still show a code without a CEL?
