I have a few questions about this, and cant find much on the net.

How do you keep the dash computer working (track info, temp, mileage / mpg / etc)?
How much wiring is necessary to replace it? I'm considering an Avic-D3, i want to go aftermarket over stock because i dont want to pay more, for something that cant do as much (granted an RNS looks better).

do you know if the center dash works, if there is any way to make it work, or do you just lose the radio section, and retain the other parts?

I dont know if there is a hook up for that. I put a D3 in my Old A4, and the radio section was just blank
