Default replacing tranny fluid

hey guys i am currently changing the tranny fluid in my 3.0 6 spd manual.. first off i am pissed that i spent the money on the "special" tamper proof torx bit to release the plug, i read everywhere and heard from everyone that i needed, and it wound up just being a 10 mm allen head...(rant) any ways i drained the fluid overnight, went out this morning to measure, and theres less than 2 liters of fluid that came out? supposed to be 2.5-3 liters in there.. what gives

thats what im thinking as well... i was just more concerned as to how i got more than a half a liter low.. doesnt appear to be a leak any where... and i was also concerned about the tranny itself because of the lack of fluid.. but i finished the job tonight, took her for a spin and so far so good.. motul 75w90 FTW!! much smoother shifts and engagements my reccomendations to all
