Requesting some information...
I bought this car used with 26,000 on it back in 06. Ever since I had it, I have been smelling a burning coolant smell. Stealership could not find the issue. I did have the radiator replaced, coolant res container, hoses etc all replaced. No leaks on the ground, just the smell on the outside of the car... Nothing inside
Last week I took it to a local APR dealer and they stated it’s the coolant flange...slowly dripping down and hitting the block/exhaust. Still smelling the coolant smell as of today. Ever since I had the coolant flange replaced, I have gone into limp mode (PRNDS all solid red) and at certain rpm's I hear a vibration sound. Also when cold, I hit the gas and the car doesn't respond the way it has in the past. Once warm, it does run good but still has that sound.
So I decided to put it up and searched for hours trying to find the smell. Well, I think I found A problem, might not be everything but I did find an issue. I have a broken/disconnect hose...Looks like it was damaged while they installed the coolant flange.See pictures...Picture 28 shows the top view of the plastic circle that connects into another and then goes down to a cut/damaged hose. Picture 31, you can barely see the cut/damaged hose.
Can someone tell me what this hose connects to and what it does???? Much appreciated!!!!
