My Sirius satellite radio suddenly stopped working. AM & FM works fine. But I just can't get a signal anymore. Refreshing/resending the signal has failed to work. So customer service told to me to take it to a dealer and do a 'hard reset'. How can I do a hard reset? I don't want to take it to a dealer if I can just do it myself.

 

if u have the radio code i would just unplug the battery if u dont have the radio code call the dealership and ask them for it by providing your vin number. They might charge u so be aware!

 

Yeah I unplugged the battery, but my radio didn't reset. It was unplugged probably for an hour and my radio presets were still there. Only my clock I had to reset. Maybe have to unplug battery longer, but would that reset the satellite radio? I don't know...

 

What does a hard reset mean on Sirius Radio
I found a few other atricles stating that either u can call sirus and have them resend the signal. Or u can pull the fuses out of the sat radio.

 

Resending the signal doesn't work, tried several times. The fuse thing is my last resort, otherwise got to cancel my subscription.
