rough idle
hello people i recently bought a audi a4 190t 1.8 when i collected the car it ran absolutely a1 smooth as silk i was a very happy chap but on the last stretch of the journey i booted it for a few seconds to see what a 225bhp remap felt like in a fairly large car with it pulling like a train it also flashed the engine management light on and off for about thirty seconds then went out .so i thought nothing of it parked car up and thats where it stayed until the next night when i started it up i noticed it was slightly rough on idle i drove to work parked it up but it was bugging me so i went back out started her back up and the revs dropped and it was like it was going to cut out .i took it to the local petrol station thinking it was low on fuel on the way up it felt gutless so put fuel in and drove back to work it seemed to pick up better but when i had to stop it was still rough and continues to be rough every time started once the choke cuts out ..im hopeing its minor as we paid good money for the car and was kinda hoping that the audi was going to be a sensible choice to last a few years please help ...

So the CEL (check engine light) was flashing? If it's flashing it's a misfire. I'd start with new plugs and coil packs. If that doesnt solve your issue then I'd start looking for possible vacuum leaks.. Hope this helps!
