rough idle & acceleration

Every automatic car I've had has vibrated more in gear than in park. If it's a huge difference then something might be up.

Check your snub mount.

Yes, but this vibration is like driving on those line things on the side of the highway that wake you up when you dose off and start veering off the rode.

Did you ever find out what the problem was? I'm seeing the same symptoms.

Is the RPM fluctuating? I.E. from cold start it will shoot to 2000 + then drop to 800 or so? If it does, vacuum leak. Possibly, the PCV valve below the intake manifold.

Could also be the flywheel if it vibrates.
