Default S4 from A4 thoughts

Hey all, I've had my 03 A4 for a year now, Its been great for me; all options I wanted; black on black, 3.0, 6spd...all options lux and sport packages.. Recently I came across a 2005.5 S4 that I already love the looks of, It has the B6 model rims, but the B7 body style. Looks to have Lux pkg? Wood trim instead of the the aluminum..6spd RNS-E...53K. The dealer is asking 24K for it, thought that seemed a little low. I've never driven an S4 before, wondering the thoughts on it. I know it has a bunch more HP...I hear they're decently quick, but I also hear they're sluggish cause they're so heavy. Is the handling that much different then my A4 sport package?? All around better?? The reason I got the A4 was because I already have a Jeep that gets not so great MPG...so I've been enjoying the close to 30 highway I get with my 3.0...Just looking for some all around input on the matter...

THANKS

imo, the s4 will be way better than your a4. no matter the "sport packages" you have it's still a stock a4 (right?) so the s4 will kill it. it'll handle way better or at least feel significantly more "sporty". and someone else help me out here, but i'm not positive that the weight difference is that big between the two...

anywho, s4s rock and if you can manage a decent trade value on your a4, go for it. you really don't have many easy places to go in terms of tuning your 3.0 a4. so get the s4 and go fast!

Too me it seems a bit high in price for an 05.5 with 53k. does it have recaros full body package or is it an a4 with s4 emblems and a sport package.

So, I was checking out this dealer's other inventory, noticed they also have a 03 RS6 with only 48k. Originally I wasnt digging the A6 style, but this looks much better, plus with the twin turbo V8, you cant complain. Big perk of this is my wife could use the auto, she cant drive stick...been trying to teach her, but she's a quitter...from what I hear these are mega rare, thoughts on these?? Any my RS4 rims would look badass on it

After thinking about this more, the value on these cars is still a lot..don't know if i'd feel right paying high 20s for near 10 year old car...This is at the Audi lot, and says its sold as is, but extended warranty is available...has a free car fax on it..so at least im gonna go drive it and see...am I totally nuts here or?!?! I just dont want the thing to become a huge pit, and with this fancy high performance machine; i fear it might. Also Is there aftermarket kits to change the trim? its got horrible color wood

rs4's are rare but with a twin turbo expect high maintainence cost.
