So finally getting back to the original topic of S4, The one I drove happened to be an auto, they sold the 6spd before I got there so that was kind of a bummer. Anyhow thoughts on that drive, first off the auto with paddle shifters or not, to me; totally ruined the experience. The shifting in it is horrible, always way too soon, you have to really lump on it to get it moving. So it's either red lining it or a 1500-2k shift. One to two is the worst, it shifts almost imideatly. That being said, with a stick, i'm sure would be a lot more enjoyable. Only thing i'm on the fence about is selling/trading in my nearly payed off A4, with low miles for a 2 year new S4..same mileage for another 10+k...also I'm convincing myself to become a B7 fan...Don't know if the extra power is worth it. I wont lie that the V8 sound is intoxicating. With the price difference, I could spend another ten grand and get a practically brand new car.
