Yes, you'll be fine. If you have quattro, you have Tiptronic tranny not CVT.

ummm, tiptronic autos in the '03 a4 can in fact be CVT. I have one. Easy way to find out is get on the highway and put your gas pedal to the floor. If it revs out to about 5 grand and stays there as you accelerate, you have a cvt. its not rocket science.

 

Nope. Tiptronic refers to the geared "traditional" auto trans. Multitronic is the CVT and is only on 2wd Frontrak A4's. All quattro's either had the manual tranny or the real deal tiptronic with real gears.

My 03' A4 1.8T with 52k just get a new Tranny and it costed me 9k. parts and labor. So yea be prepared.
