I have a 2002 A4 3.0 Quattro B6 8E which I need to replace the side mirrors on. There are 2 audis I'm looking at parts on but not sure which will fit my car.. the other cars are 2001 and 2003 models

I was told you can check by VIN #? Is that correct ?

Also what is the correct tool bit to take off the parts it's like a funny star?

Please if anyone can shed some light on this I'd be very grateful. No question is a dumb question if one doesn't know i was told.
