So Uhhhh.... I noticed something about my chip software
Hi all,
Well I was driving back to Ottawa from Toronto. It's a 3 hour highway drive and needless to say there are tons of straightaways and if you know where to do it, you can really giv-er without having to worry about cops. The entire trip I was exchanging the lead with a Lexus and we kept it pretty steady at 140-150kmph. Every now and then I'd floor it and take off just to feel the rush and then I'd back off again.
Now for the interesting part. Prior to my trip I was feeling like the car had lost all that pep it had when I first had it chipped. I tried changing the plugs, air filter, oil etc..... Nothing, it was still sluggish. I thought the software had "forgotten" but I said to myself "whatever".
A few days after my trip I got back in the car to run an errand. To my surprise it was jumpy, like it wanted to jump off the light. I was surprised. My car had come back to life!!!
I guess with all the cautious and commuter driving I was doing before the trip, the computer had learned a pattern and adjusted everything to run leaner and with all the speeding I did on the 401 it readjusted the engine for that kind of driving.
I know most cars these days have a learning computer but I was very amazed at how quickly my car "learned" that we were on the 401 and we were gonna have some fun!
BTW, my chip software is from Tapp Auto ( I think it's Eurodyne)

I heard that some people have actually had their comp flashed back to stock after the APR upgrade due to the chip being too agressive thereby raising concerns about parts breaking down prematurely. Or was it GIAC????
