software or chip?
A while ago I got APR's software downloaded to my ecu. I was contimplating getting a chip but decided on the software because I didnt have to take out my ecu or anything like that. What I want to know is if there are any advantages to getting an actual chip or if the software is just the same?
thanks guys

Us ATC people have tiny ecu's. you most likey need a chip soldered since space is severally limited. Flashes are easier to remove/changed than a chip, expecially since some dont so it so cleanly.

Software is the same. However, if you want multiple programs you will most likely need a chip as mos tof the ecu's can only hold 1 program at a time without the add on.

zero388 also mentioned before that he had an "older" TT in the orange headlight reflector thread..
I summed that up when i said this...
that includes ALL 2000's and some early model '01's. Flashing is not really an option for these cars which sucks if you want to swap chips from stock to BT. I have heard horror stories about companies like upsolute chips being installed really bad and ruining ecu's.
