Hello!
Im buying a new trans. for my audi a4b6 1.8 T to replace its CVT 01J type trans. because of, almost certainly, the TCU failure and PRNDS flashing light issue. This "transmission mechanic" is selling me, and also would be the guy to replace it, a used transmission from audi a4 b6 2.0, and i dont know if it is compatible with my car. Help please, i have a picture of the sticker from the luggage comprtment with the VIN and other numbers. This is urgent. as i already paid part of it to save it from selling to another person but i must be sure.

Hi first post on site, and need help. I've had a 2002 b6 a4 2.0 with a cvt for two years. Great car until now. Last two week theres been a shudder under acceleration. Then the other day pulling up to a junction the was a thump from a gearbox and engine stalled. It done this everytime i put it in d or r unless I took the keys out and reset it. Also lost power and kept doing this every couple
of miles until I got home.
Now after reading lots of post I'm more confused, could it be the control module, discs or just a good oil and filter change but I doubt I,d be thar lucky.
Any help would be great thanks....

 

I purchased a 2013 Audi A4 last January. Last weekend I went out to run an errand when I down shifted to Reverse nothing happend. Freaked out I called Audi roadside who set up a tow to my local dealership. The following day they explained that the transmission was shot and the tech smelled burning transmission fluid! I was floored bc they had just done the 55k mile maintenance. Needless to say I am having them repair/replace it since its covered (Certified PreOwned). After its repaired we're trading it in. I had a Honda Acord for 8 years before getting my Audi and never dealt with this drama. No thanks I'm getting rid of this.

 

Hi, am having similar problem with my Audi A4 2.0 CVT. The car doesn't move beyond 1st gear. I replaced airflow sensor and throttle body but still the same!... it gives fault code P18034. How do I sort it out?
