starting
hey guys....last little while when starting the car it makes a grinding noise!!..then I try to restart..again...not untill the third time the car will turn over & start...now this has been happening more & more oftan...some times the car starts no problem...I hope this is'nt a sign that the starter is on it's way..ohh & I have warrenty left on the car..if this is the problem...will I get it fix under the warrenty??? thnakx guys..ohh it's a 2003 3.0
That sounds like either the starter or the flywheel (could be some chipped teeth)...I would think that would be covered by the warranty but I'm not sure...I would call the dealership and see what they say.
well last 4 starts it started like normal...it's an intermittent thing..temps have been cold..min -5 degrees celsius...but mostly it happens when temps are colder then that....it has a brand new battery..I just got the thing 3 months ago & it's audi certified...I'll see if it happens tomorrow morning temps tonight are going down to -10....do you thing cold weather has something to do with it....the noise is almost like starting a car that's already running...I feel bad for the car when I hear it & wanna get it resolved soon...thankx 4 the help
When it's cold (-5C -15C) and i start my car, lets say after being it parked outside overnight, if u look at your RPMS you can see them going up with some stops in between, like something is holding it. Is this what you have???
