Thanks a lot for the input, guys. I'll probably go ahead and replace the filter. I'm sure it needs it regardless. I'll try to get that done by next week and post the results. Anyone know where I might find a diy on that or could someone help me out with the location of it? Thanks again.

And just so we're clear, fuel FILTER not fuel PUMP, right?

Correct, fuel filter. If you wait too long to replace the filter, you'll then be having to change out the failed fuel pump, too.

filter is located passenger side near the rear tire. If u lay on the ground infront of the rear tire u should see a silver canistor. Thats the filter. I think their is a diy on audizine or a4mods.com
