Default suggestions for my 05 1.8T (noob here)

hey everyone. just purchased my first Audi a few weeks ago. I'm absolutely loving it so far (aside from the infamous "dipped headlight" issue :P), but I have a few questions for you guys.

It's a 2005 1.8T Quattro with an automatic transmission. with that said, I'm looking into purchasing a cat-back exhaust system... not looking to spend a LOT for it, but I want it to be good. I just want it to sound good and be compatible with my drivetrain/transmission.

I'm also looking into powdercoating my stock wheels. I want to go black, but I'm torn between metallic or gloss. can you guys offer any opinions on it? I'll post a few pictures of my car so it makes it a little easier to decide :P

lastly, I'm looking to smoke my head/taillights on a budget. what options do I have with that?

Thanks in advance

imo smoked lights on lighter colored cars doesnt look decent.

as for your wheels. just plasti-dip them. clean easy and removable.

Wilkommen to the forums!

Nice looking A4. plenty of good reading on different styles of mods to find here in the A4 sections.

I'm a bit concerned due to the fact that when talking about what you want to do to your car, you keep mentioning cost concerns. not busting on you but Audi is not the car you want to own if what things cost is a concern. If you funding is a bit tight, I would suggest you hold onto your mod money for the inevitable maintenance costs that WILL arise.

good luck

1+ o yea, i had the same intentions as you, get an exhaust and do some mods. dont bother, by the time you save up money for your exhaust something else will need replacement.

yeah. i'd love to do stuff to my car, but as a 20 yr old college student i certainly am on a tight budget. i try to keep as much money as i can (that would go to modding my car) into maintenance.
