Default A switchblade key replacement

I just bought my first Audi and love it. The only problem I have right now is that I have 1 switchblade key and then a normal key with no button. My wife wants a switchblade key for when she uses the car and I was wondering where is the cheapest place to buy a replacement key. I found one for $64.00 and I was wondering if that was a good price. It comes with the programming instructions as well. Thanks

That's a good price, but the problem I ran into with buying an aftermarket "programable" key is that most locksmiths don't do the double sided blade key, and the ones that do usually won't do the aftermarkets because they want you to buy it from them. Forget about asking the dealer, they won't do it. Audi will charge you $250 (around there) for an oem key, which is incredibly rediculous, but the only way I know to get one. Also, since this is your first Audi, I'll try to save you some more headaches, don't buy parts from Autozone or Advance, they will sell you everything under the sun and 90% of it won't work with your car despite what they say. Just go to the audi dealer. Also, make sure you use the correct power steering fluid. Don't let the guys at quicklube put theirs in.

Yeah, don't let any shops put in any fluids other than oil unless it's a dealer or specialist.
