Yeah, its public information so it can be posted. Those are old TSB's for the 1.8T and 2.7T twin turbo. So they still haven't made a flash for the 3.0L huh...... If thats the case you may need to find a really good mechanic that knows audi's. Or you could ask the dealer to have the shop forman look at it for you, which should be the most experienced tech in the shop.

It needs an engine computer to fix your problem.

Apparently what is happening is the timing belt supposedly is stretching and over time the ecu compensates the cam timing to it. Then you put a fresh tight belt on it and it causes these misfire codes. What you should try first is to disconnect both battery cables and touch both of them together (WITHOUT BEING CONNECTED TO THE BATTERY) for about 20 seconds. Then hook everything back up. See if the misfire is still there. If its still there its going to need a computer.

Default Cylinders 1 2 3 misfire p0300 code

I got my timing belt done for 1100 in boone by my guy, and he did the tensions, pulleys ect ect, and the spark plugs. the guys awesome. but that was done 2 months ago and now im having the same problem of cylinders 1,2,3 misfiring. its only happened twice and only after its started up after cold. the guy at autozone said he thought it would be the coil packs. does this sound right?

audi a4 3.0L
has 85000 miles on it and as i said had the timing belt changed with all correlating components.

thanks ahead of time

I am having the exact same problem right down to the same cylinders missfiring and at 6000 rpms. I would be willing to try this battery cable trick but am somewhat hesitant any more details on what touching the cable together actually does?? Also what computer would it need?

I'm having the same issue. Cylinder 1-3 misfiring. I'm also getting P0341, (Camshaft Position Sensor) even after installing a new cam sensor... Just bought the car and got a pretty good deal on it. I can't get tabs until I clear these codes. CEL = Failed emissions test

I am having the same problem after a timing belt/ water pump repair. Although I now have no heat. I'm not sure if the guy replaced the thermostat as he should have. I am getting the same codes with random misfires etc. Plus one for turbo underboost. I replaced the cts then erased codes. CEL light off for a whole couple of hours. Taking it to the "stealer" today and asking for a ECM update/flash. See how that goes soon. Hoping a good flush of cooling system will help me later.

Wow. This is frightening. I'm about to replace my timing belt right now on my '02 3.0L since my oil leak has pretty much been leaking all over the belt.

I'm wondering if I should just use my old belt now after I finally get my oil leak problem fixed and put everything back together. I don't want to deal with engine misfires after I finally get this thing back together for the 3rd time.
