What, change the fluid and filter? Yes thats fine, you won't lose any friction modification by just replacing the fluid. If you're REALLY worried about it you can add a GM friction modifier, i usually add them to the Torsen diff because it quiets up the gears. Solvents are what removes the lubricants between the packs and destroys everything in a hurry.

 

i know tell me about it thats why im afraid of.. but i want to do it because i plane on keeping this car for as long as i can and want to take care of it...

I am going to drain and fill my tranny (with filter/gasket replace). I bought the kit from blauparts.com. Anyways I have a cheap vag com cable which will let me read the tranny temp so no problems there. My question is that I have a weird bucking issue. Almost like its losing fuel or spark, but it gets much better when the engine is warm. I have replaced ect, maf, cleaned throttle body, replaced air filter too.

So two questions.. Should I add some BG tranny conditioner when refilling or lucas oil or neither? (will it damage tranny components?

Also, what do you think of this buck? it drops like 300 rpm when is does and sometimes when shifting it will drop 500 then another 500 rpms, not just one smooth shift... I did the plug when i got the car but the coils were done before i had the car so not sure on that. Also, I use to get 2 codes for both my cats, but i dont get them anymore... not sure why. Thank in advance!
