Turboing a 2002 A4 3.0
Hi, I was wondering does anyone know of anyoone or has personally turbo'd a 3.0 V6 A4 motor? If so my main question, was how hard was it? And wat all do you have to do (motor-wise) b4 you can turbo the car? I was looking to either single turbo it with a Garrette GT30, but I really wanna twin turbo it with 2 GT28's and poosibly go with small boost probably around 5psi each. Please give me feedback if you know anything.

It would cost around $10,000 to turbo it, and good luck finding someone to tune it.
The subframe is too small to accomodate twin turbo's, the only way to get it done is to do a large single turbo above the motor, or cut the crap out of the subframe to fit the turbos.
On top of all that, the motors internals can't handle more than 350 HP, so a supercharger is really your only option.

Thank you all for all of your responses! I really appreciate it, but I jus talked to my mechanic today who pretty much everyones custom fabrications in the salisbury, kannapolis, concord, charlotte area, and I'm going to do a 2 "T25" rear mount set-ups. They will bolt right on. I won't really have to do any motor work other than changin my rods and pins and I'm goin to optionally changed to forged pistons. And my next mission will be to get bigger cams.

Nah you won't need cams, once you go forced induction cams really won't give you any increase in power. Since you're excellerating the air the stock cams should work fine.
Im not a huge fan of the back mounted turbos, i can barely stand the turbo lag from small turbos mounted a couple inches from the engine, let alone a few feet. :O
I can't see it making more than 350 at the crank, but at least it will be faster in the higher rpm range, let us know how it works out for you.
