So I recently purchased an A4 B6 3.0 with OEM xenon headlights

I'd like to upgrade the dated headlights with something a little bit more modern, such as these Depo Chrome LED Projector Head Lights Sport Grill Grille Blk 02 05 Audi A4 B6 | eBay

However, most aftermarket headlights I find say they will not fit if the car comes with factory xenon HID headlights.

Can someone explain why?

Also can someone point me to the right direction where I can find aftermarket headlights that will be compatible with my factory xenon set up. Preferabbly something that isn't tacky/cheesy. What are you guys using these days for headlights?

Thanks!
Geo

they say it will only fit cars with factory xenon because the new aftermarket lamps require you to transfer ballast, bulb and connector from the factory lamps. You could just buy new ballast, bulbs and connector, but they are very expensive. Those inexpensive aftermarket replacements become not so inexpensive
