ok so i got the parts but got home late, so all i'm doing is taking a look at the bushing that needs to be replaced, and as far as i can tell they are the two in the back of the wheel well area, and they are vertical, correct me please if i'm wrong. looks like i might need two more though all 4 of them look more or less jacked up. thanks.

Please shop around - you can buy a lot of parts for less money. There are even urethane bushings out there that you can use to replace the OEM bushings. As for the control arms themselves (the links), www.ecstuning.com has a sale going to get all four lower links for $99 total. I'm on my second year on FCP Groton control arms (all 8 front arms, new swaybar endlinks, and new outer TREs), which cost me $242.11 including shipped.

Those sure got there quick? Sorry to hear the other two might be worn. A bit at a time once you find out all it needs. Keep us posted and don't work too hard this weekend.

Anyone find it odd that mine are blown out in the front with only 19,000 miles on the car?

Anyone make this in a better material? aftermarket? I should still be covered under warranty....

Thanks
Josh

Default Upper control arm replacement

I am experiencing vibration when turning my 05 a4 3.0 quattro. i had the car looked at and was told that i need to replace all of my upper control arms. can someone explain the relationship between a bushing and a control arm and if i can get away with some kind of repair cheaper then 600$?

thanks guys
