What to look for?
Main issues:
-timing belt done ~75k but definitely before 100k.
-rear coolant flange, feel around at the back to see if oil is leaking. Easy DIY fix but worth checking.
-check to see if the coilpacks are revision R. L is teh old stock version. Ask when they were last changed, if ever. No big deal if they weren't.
-pull the coilpacks and look down to the spark plugs to see if there is any oil. If so, the valve cover gasket may need to be changed. Again, easy DIY.
-when test driving, roll windows down to listen for noises in the turns. do it while going slow and with wheel turned pretty far.
-inspect tire wear since the quattro can go through tires, especially if not aligned properly
-make sure only synthetic oil has been used
-check AM/FM reception because antenna booster above rear window cracks and stops working with time
-sometimes radio and similar buttons peel
That's all I can think of right now.
