What to put on my car
Chip- best bang for the buck, look at apr, revo, unitronics, giac
Intake- no gains basically, but looks cool/sounds cool
Exhaust- a couple of hp/tq - sounds cool-look at magnaflow, neuspeed, awe, apr-go on youtube and search.

get a 1+ flash from APR or FX flash from GIAC.. you will need larger injectors you can get from a guy named manguyen on audizine just shoot him a PM... that will net you 65hp give or take.. next i would get a FMIC then exhaust last...
Its cuz FMIC's kick @$$
I'm a garage-sort-of tuner cuz I don't got deep pockets and I'm still finishing HS so these are my personal reco's if you want to tweak for 1.8t slightly quicker:
Chip- APR 93- $500
Exhaust- Magnaflow mufflers and get an shop to do a stainless steel custom exhaust. (hot rod shops are the best since they know how to make cars roar and can do so w/ a 4 banger also) you'll save a few hundreds than going with a name brand.
Intake- Custom K&N cone filter and heatshield. Get creative on how to block your engine's heat off the intake or some guy on AZ does em for $100.
DV: Bosch 710N $60
DP: ATP testpipe/hi-flo cat $165
FMIC- Ebay intercooler and custom piping for under $200
That's a good way to get a little more oomph out of your ride on a budget. If you want to go all out name brand its useless unless you planning on a BT in the future.

LOL i just wanted to come back here and to add that if Papachristou will come here, he will definetely say to get a FMIC before anything else

also i was so disappointed i spent $1k on my exhaust and test pipe and really couldnt tell any difference... with the addition of the FMIC it really helped
if you are on a budget, watch the classifieds and you can get a good deal on a racetec or ER sport..
Whoever thinks that an intercooler isn't a major performance upgrade also thinks that electric superchargers the ****. FMIC's are vital for any turbo'd vehicle especially in the summer months.
