Alright so this whole starting issue is really getting on my nerves. Ive posted numerous other threads about it and it still is not cured. First I pulled the throttle body off and the MAF sensor and cleaned both. Then I replaced the plugs w/ new ones. Then the most recent thing I have done is replaced the coolant temp sensor and it is still starting hard. What else could I possibly have to check?? Coilpacks? Thanks in advance.

 

Ok, do you have any fault codes? Do you have a vag com to check measuring blocks?

Well damn man, you gotta have a vag com to diagnose something like that. Thats like hunting in the dark blindfolded.

 

Well this is the first Audi I have owned so I don't know much about that stuff. So I could use some advice. What exactly is a vag com??

 

A vag com is a reversed engineered version of the VAS 5052 (dealer scan tool) which costs over $6,000. Lucky enough for you, the vag com rivals the usage of the VAS tool. The vag com is a downloadable software you can get from www.ross-tech.com which is free, you just need to purchase the cable to hook your lap top to the car's diagnostic port. You can do absolutely everything with this tool, including re-coding control modules, in other words you can change functions. Like make the windows go down with the key, or turn off the seatbelt chime and such.

 

ok so i can download this software and then I should get the cable for my laptop and run it on the car and that will tell me why it's not starting decent??
