What should I expect for 80,000 service?
I'm do for my 80,000 service. What should I expect to have done and approximate cost baring no issues? The audi dealer told me $750-800+ and right now I can't afford that.
If nothing is broke since I"m paying for it anyway, I'd like to know what's all involved and pick what I want to be handled.

This is what you want to do... Call your local AUDI DEALERSHIP and ask them what their 80k mile service includes. The reason why I say "THEIR 80K MILE SERVICE" is because it varies slightly from dealer to dealer. A lot of the services that they will perform are stuff like, lube door hinges, lube sun roof, lube trunk latch, lube this lube that. Honostly, have them break down the actually things that they do UNDER YOUR HOOD for you. at 80k I would deffintly recomend a new CABIN AIR FILTER, OIL CHANGE (of coarse), awesome time for TIMING BELT (if you have the money) and if you havnt done so already... change the SPARK PLUGS.
So lets see... Cabin Air Filter you can do on your own as well as the oil change. and sparks plugs are pretty damn easy aswell. Just my opinion, im sure others will have different to say

Select your year from that link and it will tell what is recommended for each service interval. I was quoted $360-$400 from my dealer. No non-routine issues found.

At 80K you can do it yourself for under 100 dollars and an hour of your time.
It is nothing more than a glorified oil change, check for leaks, lubricate the door hinges and sunroof, etc, go for a couple of cigarettes.
They then charge you "book rate" for lubrication (30 minutes for greasing the hinges that takes 2 minutes), checking the exhaust (30 mintues book rate for a 2 minute inspection), check brakes (30 minutes book rate for something that takes 2 minutes) check all lights and signals (30 minute book rate for 2 minutes of inspection).
Save the 500 dollars toward the timing belt change which will need to be done in about 10K miles.

Hello guys, my A4 B6 has done 83,000 miles, I would like to know what is the Audi recommended period for replacing timing belt? Reason I would like to know is my extended warranty would cover for damages if timing belt breaks before the Audi recommended time frame. If it happens after this period I am on my own. Please advice.
