Hi all-

I just bought my 2003 A4 Quattro this morning, and I have a question.

Does anyone know where I can get a new headlight control **** (see attached, marked with red arrow). The one on this car is pretty warn, and it looks like crap. Is there a trick to taking off the one that's currently on there? I'd obviously like to avoid breaking anything if at all possible.

UPDATE:

I went to a dealer today to see how much the trim piece would cost to buy new, and they told me that they only sell the switch as a whole. The whole thing is like $110.

That's pretty high. Is my only other option a salvage yard?

look for the euro light switch

they're a shop i've used before. they're very good, and have good prices. to take the switch out press the switch in and turn it clockwise. it should pull out after that.

 

Thanks for the info but I'm not seeing a listing for the B6 switch, it looks like it's only for the B5...

 

Oh, damn. maybe I didn't look before I told you... I'll check later when I get out of class.

 

I've seen those on eBay before....regular NA ones though.
