i get a whining noise inboth 1st & 2nd gears when i drive the car in tiptronic mode (ive had this car for almost 2 yrs) and it just accured to me to post this up to see if its normal...could it be the turbo spooling up???or could it be sumthin else,thanx

 

at what RPMS do you start hearing this noise?

Would you say its more of a whistle noise rather than a whining noise? Or more whining than a whistle???

 

Is that noise coming from the rear of a car?

 

its more of a belt whine...sorta like a supercharger....google searched it, and clicked on a link to vwvortex.com...i believe it was, and the thread was about possible belt tensioner rubbing against the edge or sumthin like that
